Please note that although invoices are quoted in EURO additional charges covering the costs of exchange conversions maybe levied by credit card companies in both Austria and your country. As a consequence, you might be charged significantly more than the purchase price when buying products by credit card and you are advised to check the associated costs before proceeding. These charges are completely outside the control of the IAEA. It may be more cost effective to purchase products with a bank draft or cheque.
Important: The invoice number must be clearly identified on all forms of payment.
Reference materials are delivered in packaging which conforms to international guidelines. The type of the packaging material is determined by the nature of the substance(s) being transported (toxicity, radiotoxicity, activity, propensity to disperse, etc.). The package consists of a cardboard box (15 x 15 x 30 cm) filled with bio-degradable expanded starch granules, the material (ampoules are wrapped in bubble wrap), reference sheet, invoice, packing note and report (upon request). The packaging materials are considered to be disposable without any special precautions. Typical shipment weights vary from 0.2 to 5 kg depending on the order. The materials will be dispatched via DHL or air freight.
Different packaging and shipment conditions may apply to products supplied by the Isotope Hydrology Laboratory, for details, please contact the responsible officer.
Note: The packages are NOT regarded as radioactive under the IATA Dangerous Good Regulations [1] (as they are below the threshold activity limit of 70 Bq/g), therefore no special precautions need to be taken during the transportation of the shipment. The materials do not constitute any radiological hazard.
Please make sure that you have all necessary permissions and clearances to import these materials and we are not responsible for the cost of return shipment in case of refusal of importation.
